Lawal Taiwo Olasunkanmi Abdul Kareem, widely known as T. Lawal, is a dedicated educator, public administrator, entrepreneur, and politician with a deep passion for community development. Born on January 16, 1987, and raised in Bariga, T. Lawal is a proud son of the land who has worked tirelessly to uplift his community.

T. Lawal's journey began in Bariga, where he attended Somolu Local Government Primary School and Ajayi Crowther Memorial Senior Grammar School. He later earned a Bachelor of Education (BA.Ed) in Islamic Studies from the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG) and went on to complete his Master's Degree from the same institution in 2021.
After his degree, T. Lawal served his nation through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), completing the program in 2015. Over the years, he has acquired professional certifications from reputable institutions, further enriching his expertise in public administration and leadership.
T. Lawal began his political journey in 2004 under the mentorship of respected leaders in Bariga and Somolu, such as Hon. Fatai Bello, Hon. Sesan Olanrewaju, and Hon. Alabi Kolade David. His dedication to grassroots politics saw him rise from the Secretary of Justice Forum in Ward H, Bariga, to the LGA Secretary under the leadership of Alhaji Fakunmoju.
In 2017, T. Lawal was appointed Youth Liaison Officer for Bariga LCDA, a role he held until 2021. During this time, his commitment and hard work earned him a place on the APC G-60 Steering Committee, which conducted the gubernatorial primary election in Ogun State in 2018.
He also served as Secretary to the Directorate of Party Affairs in the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group (2018-2019) and was the Director General of AKD Volunteers, supporting the re-election of Hon. Alabi Kolade David as Bariga LCDA Chairman (2020-2021).
In 2022, T. Lawal was a State Delegate at the APC Lagos Gubernatorial Primary Election and was later appointed Assistant Director, Directorate of Party Affairs for the Tinubu/Shettima-Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council.
He currently serves as the National Secretary of Jagaban Ambassadors and Media Actions (JAMA) and remains an active voice in advocating for youth leadership and community development.
I am not just a politician but a dedicated son of Bariga, committed to continuing the progress of the current administration while driving even greater development for our community.
